Pastor’s Biography


Pastor Robert J. Jamison, Sr., is the husband of Elder Rebecca Jamison, affectionately known as (Co-Pastor). They were married in 1970, and are the parents of Scott, Robert Jr., Vanessa, Vincent and Keisa. He also has a daughter-in-law and 5 grandchildren.
Pastor was born in Bamberg, SC. to the late Benjamin and Leda Jamison. Co-Pastor Jamison was born in Ehrhardt, SC. to the late Norman and Rebecca Brabham McMillan.
Pastor graduated from Richard Carroll High School in Bamberg, SC. He came to York, Pa. in 1964. He accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in 1968 and accepted his calling to preach the gospel in 1972. Pastor Jamison attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, had his trial sermon and became a licensed minister at Friendship Baptist Church in 1977. In 1987, he received his Ordained Minister certification from the Central Baptist Assocation Ordination Council in Harrisburg, Pa. He then enrolled in the Philadelphia Bible College where he attained a Bachelor’s of Divinity, a Master’s of Divinity and Doctorate of Divinity.
Co-Pastor graduated from Voorhees High School in Demark, SC. in 1966. She relocated to York, Pa. in 1966. She attended York Bible Institute and received certificates in Missionary Enterprise and How To Be An Effective Witness.
After serving for ten years as the Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, the Holy Spirit led him and his wife to implement the Fairview Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as Pastor and Founder. Pastor Jamison is also a member of the Black Ministries Association in the city of York and is now serving as the Overseer of the Central, Pa. District of the Full Gospel Fellowship. Co-Pastor currently serves as the Women’s Director and contact person for the Daughters of Promise for the Central Pa. District of the Full Gospel Fellowship.
